About Plumbers Basildon 247

Trusted Drainage Specialists in Basildon and surrounding areas

Plumbers Basildon 247 is a plumbing and drainage callout service covering Basildon, Wickford, Billericay, Laindon, Pitsea, Benfleet, Canvey Island, Rayleigh, and Southend-on-Sea. We work on blocked drains, CCTV surveys, high-pressure jetting, pipe repairs, and trenchless relining, with emergency callouts available around the clock.

Basildon's drainage problems trace back to the town's own history. Much of the housing was built during the 1950s and 1960s new town expansion, and a lot of it still runs on the original clay or concrete pipework laid at the time — never designed for 60-plus years of root growth and ground movement. The Essex clay subsoil under Basildon, Wickford, Billericay, and Laindon shifts with the seasons, expanding when wet and contracting when dry, which is a large part of why cracked pipes and joint failures are so common here. It shows up differently around our coverage area too: Canvey Island's low-lying, reclaimed land and high water table create their own drainage challenges, Rayleigh's mature trees mean root ingress is a frequent issue near the older part of town, and the coastal properties in Southend-on-Sea and Leigh-on-Sea can be affected by their proximity to the Thames Estuary.

We carry CCTV cameras, jetting equipment, and trenchless relining kit on every callout, because a CCTV survey on a 1960s-era Basildon property is usually looking for wear patterns specific to that pipework, not generic damage — and a proper repair needs to account for that rather than just clearing the blockage and moving on.

On pricing: we give a fixed quote before any work starts and do not charge a call-out fee. If more work turns out to be needed than first thought, we say so and confirm the new price before continuing.
